TIPS ON DEALING WITH JEALOUSY

Having problem dealing with jealousy, here is a guideline to follow..

A definition of jealousy might be:
a person's fears and anxieties around attention that they perceive is being given to or by someone else who is important to them.
Thus for example a woman might experience jealousy at the sight of her husband or boyfriend dancing with another woman - or vice versa.
Although most commonly discussed in the context of sexual and romantic relationships, jealousy can also be present between other groups of people - for example, in family situations where sisters or brothers compete against each other for the attention of a parent and one feels left out.
Jealousy and Envy
One view is that envy is not the same as jealousy, since envy usually involves wishing that you were someone else or admiring them and may just involve a tendency to be wistful or dreamy, allied perhaps with low self esteem. Envy can however sometimes involve or lead into some some of the more painful feelings associated with jealousy.
Jealousy tends to be associated with emotions such as:
  • Anger
  • Fear
  • Feelings of humiliation

Dr. OLUSOLA SARAKI IS ALIVE AND KICKING

The rumoured death of Dr. Olusola Saraki is untrue, the Special Adviser to Kwara State Governor on Media and Strategies, Raheem Adedoyin, has said.
He added that the second Republic Senate leader is “alive and kicking.”
Rumours of the politician’s demise were rife on Tuesday within and outside the state.
According to reports, the 79-year old father of the immediate past governor of the state, Bukola, has been battling old age-related ailments for several months.
Adedoyin, who is a member of Saraki's political camp in a text message, denounced the rumour, saying the politician is “not only alive but also enjoying his vacation in the United States of America.”
His words: "Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki is very much alive, kicking well here in the United States where he has been on vacation.”
Senator Bukola Saraki's media aide, Bamikole Omishore, also confirmed that the medical doctor-turned politician is alive.

Naija woman jailed for running Brothels in sligo, longford

36-year-old Charity Ajayioba, of no fixed abode, kept brothels in Sligo and Longford and admitted directing the activities of prostitutes between July and September 2007.
The investigating garda told the court that Ajayioba, who is originally from Nigeria, was not a victim of sexual exploitation or human trafficking.
She was arrested in April last year as part of Operation Meas, an investigation by the Garda National Immigration Bureau into brothel keeping and human trafficking.
Det Sgt McGrath told the court that the State's principal witness was a prostitute found in a house in the Rathbaun estate in Sligo who had been working for Ajayioba.
She made a 31-page statement and identified three brothels in Sligo and one in Longford. She said she earned €44,300, gave half to Ajayioba and spent the rest on rent and bills.
Ajayioba's defence counsel claimed she was trapped in Ireland and moved around as a prostitute.
This was rejected by the detective who said she was neither a victim of human trafficking nor sexual exploitation, but a suspect at all times.
Judge Martin Nolan sentenced her to three years in prison.

Two families fight over corpse

Two families almost came to blows at the Lekan Ogunsola Memorial Morgue of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos on Monday as both relations lay claim to the same body.
The dispute over the body began when the family members of the late Mr. Jones Ifekanwa, who died in the Dana plane crash, were told that another family, who reportedly refused to disclose their name, had also lay claim to the same body as their own.
The Chief Medical Examiner, Prof. John Obafunwa, invited the Ifekanwa family to identify their late brother’s corpse but found it difficult to effectively re-identify the body as they did last week.
Another family, after going in to identify their relation’s corpse, also picked the same body as the lfekanwa family had picked.
For further clarification, Obafunwa denied both families access to the body until the DNA testing results would be out in the next four weeks.
Our correspondent gathered from the elder sister to the late Ifekanwa, Mrs. Jennifer Enanana, that the mix-up arose from the decomposing state of the body.
A fight almost ensued between members of the families, but for the intervention of security men at the mortuary.
Enanana said, “My brother was identified at the crash site. He wasn’t burnt. He had his identity card with him and some other documents in his pockets; with that, they identified him.
“So this morning, they took us in and they wrapped him up as if it was a gift pack, showing just his face not his ears, not his head. Can you imagine? And we were telling them that this is our brother whom we have identified. He has a mark on his lips and on his forehead; it is just a unique feature of him and all that.
“Could you believe that another family went inside and identified the same Jones’s body? A body that has been identified by them and confirmed by us twice! That means they did not store the bodies properly; that means there is something fishy going on.”

“Tahir Umar came to my office today. He said that he bought the ticket but couldn’t make the flight. He is the Medical officer at the Defence Headquarters.”
