Seven banks in Nigeria have been listed among 1000 top banks in the world according to their tier 1 capital.
Below is the list;
Zenith bank which was the first Nigerian bank on the list was ranked no 7 in Africa and no 322 in the world.
First bank was ranked no 2 in Nigeria, no 8 in Africa and no 338 in the world.
GTB which came 3rd in Nigeria, no 11 in Africa and 455 worldwide.
Access bank took the 4th position being no 15 in Africa and 541 worldwide.
UBA is the fifth largest bank in Nigeria, #16 in Africa and #563 worldwide. Fidelity takes position as the sixth biggest bank in Nigeria, #17 in Africa and #618 in the world and finally First City Monument Bank becomes the seventh largest bank in Nigeria, #22 in Africa and #710 in the world.
Bank of America took the lead emerging 1st on the list, four American banks and four Chinese banks made the top ten on the world list...Thumbs up naija....
